Similar to what Amazon Prime, Netflix & Hulu has in their header section. It would be really cool to allow Plex media server users the ability to display 3-10 featured Movies, TV Shows, other media, etc. We could simply check a box that says “Display as Featured Media.” Then when Plex is opened to the Home screen, above everything else - in the header section, the Featured Items are displayed “wide-screen” and will auto-scroll or can be scrolled through from left to right.
Now Prime, Netflix and other streaming services actually auto-play a snippet of the media. This is not necessary, a static image/poster would be great. But it should be clickable, so the user can go directly to the media, of course.
This would allow me to share with my friends/family users who access my Plex server to see my Features/Recommended media (regardless of the type media category) in a cool/updated fashion.
