I consider Plex my personal multimedia cloud. I like the fact that I dont have to store my personal media on some server in some unknown location. I like the fact that I know exactly where my data is. With that being said, I would love to be able to share out personal files to my devices as well. Things like Word, Excel , PowerPoint docs, zips, etc. Doesnt have to be anything pretty, just the ability to access these types of files from any of my devices, anywhere!
If this capability already exists within Plex, please let me know!

What you are asking is a cloud storage service, but stored locally. Look into OwnCloud. This feature doesn't seem to suit Plex's ethos and goal in my opinion.

No, it does not. It's a cloud storage solution that utilize your own disk space. Is there a reason you want this 'other files' to sync with Plex?
see original post. the ability to have my files accessible anywhere with any of my devices. I dont want to have to have yet another service that does this. I would like Plex to have all of this integrated somehow.
It probably very possible. But like I said, it really doesn't fit the direction Plex is heading in my opinion. Plex is about streamlining a simple elegant solution for managing media files by not showing the files but its metadata, but you want to be able to see the files. Nonetheless you should check out OwnCloud if you don't feel good about your files being stored in someone else's cloud.
