[Feature Request] Fine grain smart playlist options

Hello,

I’d like to make the suggestion for more fine grain controls over our smart playlists please.

  1. Keyword search: The user would input a keyword, and it will pick videos that contain that word in their metadata to create a playlist with. Could be used to create a quick christmas playlist or something similar. The addition of an operator selection box would be cool as well, like contains, doesnotcontain, begins with, greater than, less than.
  2. TV Ordered controls: This would be a selection box that if ticked, would keep the TV shows in order within the playlist. This would be especially helpful for shuffling playlists, as you could create a kind of pseudo tv option with it, randomly playing the shows but each episode would still be in sequential airdate or episode number order.
  3. Allow to sort by Ratings, Most Watched
  4. Limit Items: Control over how many items the playlist can contain.
  5. Order by Selection: Order items by airdate, title, year
  6. Least watched get priority in shuffle: Would put least watched episodes of a series towards the start of the shuffled playlist.

These are just a few I could come up with but if there’s anymore others can think of, please let me know and I’ll add them. I’ve only run into this myself whilst using Plex, and the odd wishful thinking idea.

Please remember to like the post for support.

bumped :D.

I would love this as well

Early 2021 clean-up:

  1. duplicate (e.g. Allow tagging (keywording) videos with specified timing to a database or Import TMDB Keywords into Tags section)
  2. sort
  3. implemented
  4. implemented
  5. implemented
  6. duplicate (shuffle improvement)
