Feature Request for the next App update

Hi folks,

First af all, i want to say great work - my compliment - the 360 app is working well now - BUT…
some things are missing in the XBox 360 app and here are the request:

.) Want to select movies in Folders - PLEASE BRING THIS TO THE XBox360!
.) Plex shell work “without” XBox Live login - its boring to go always online if the Server is under my table
.) 50Hz Mode - The App is playing all content at 60Hz - not usefull here in Europe and of corse with 24p content.
.) A possibility to wake up the Plex server if the app is started on the XBox - this is already working with a Win 7 MediaCenter so the XBox can wakeup a PC - i want this for my PlexServer too

Regarding “Folder View”.

100% totally absolutely definitely positively agree.

I use Home Movies library type mainly. This means the 360 app is next to useless for me without Folder View. :-/

OTHERWISE, the app looks FANTASTiC.

  1. Is there an ETA on Folder View being added to all library types on the 360 App?

  2. When can we see the XBOne app as well?

Layout is definitely my concern. Or rather the very low information density.

With >1400 movies collected and converted over more than a decade since I started using XBMC, I’ve already broken them down into genre categories to make it easier to navigate and discover. And though I’m not in front of it at the moment (just moved and everything is still boxed) but the XB360 movie library display is 5 full movie posters plus 2 halves, one on each end? It looks beautiful, but it’s impractical and unnecessarily magnified. On big screens Android Plex TV layout has issues, but it has a much higher information density meaning less scrolling around.

So…

  • More media displayed on screen in each library

Plus, and I’ll admit it looks really really great, I don’t find the content discovery landing screen that beneficial. It would be, if I were connecting to someone elses server that they’d shared to me, I’m pretty certain, but for our own in-home media, it’s simply not as efficient as the default library view.

  • Options to configure default views

I agree with @jungwirth about the lack of information density… I’m guessing it’s a limitation of the platform, but I wish the Plex app would display more movies/tv shows/episodes on a screen, and it would also be great to see the description of the selected title somewhere as well.

I’d also LOVE it if the app could save my VIEW and SORT settings.
