Hi, on many linux desktop environments there are widgets like Media Controller Compact who recognize running Media Players like Spotify over the MPRIS D-Bus Interface. Is there a way to implement this for the Plex Media Player?

I agree with this, without mpris the player is useless!
Was this never implemented? I am configuring a TV Box with Linux and this would be very helpful
