After using this a bit, I have a couple of suggestions that at least I’d like to see. Would help those of us transitioning from traditional cable solutions as well as those who still like to channel surf:
-
Please add the channel number to the channel posters. The network logo is there, but i do most of my surfing from memory of location in the channel sequence. For example, I know where certain channels I want are, being able to see a point of reference in the poster scroll would just help the navigation. The iOS interface already has this, not sure why it was left out of Android TV.

When you do tune to a channel, I like how you can just hit down to bring up the channel list while continuing to watch what you’re tuned to. However, the channel list defaults all the way back to the beginning. For example, if I’m tuned to channel 504 and pull up the list, it pushes me back all the way to channel 100. My strong preference would be for the channel list to use the current tuned channel as a reference point to start with and then show the channels around it (e.g. 500-510 or whatever). I often find myself flipping around the sports channels, which are all in one region of the channel lineup. Same with movies. This simple change would really help with us surfers.

Implement some sort of previous channels tuned to aid with flipping (e.g. last 2 channels tuned or something). Hard without a dedicated previous button, but Live Channels has a reasonable facsimile that works.
