Hi,
Liking very much the direction the Live TV feature is heading!
However it seems to me it would be good to have a simple method of manually changing Live TV Channels Up/Down or directly select a particular channel, and also be able to rearrange the Channel order to the user’s preferred order etc.
It seems at present the only way to go to a particular Channel is to select a Show on that Channel from the Program Guide?
Or maybe I am missing something?

On Android TV, if you hit select to bring up the OSD, you can hit down arrow and see ‘whats on’ from other channels and select them there.
Thanks, yes that is useful and helps a bit but not really what I was after.
I guess I really want the equivalent of the “Channel +” and Channel -" buttons on a traditional remote, and the ability to order the channels however I please … don’t care about programs but just want to “channel surf” mindlessly sometimes!
Hope the Live TV comes to the Roku app soon at least!

What you are asking for makes perfect sense in the real world, but not in the Plex world where there is no grid.
I like to vacation in Plex world, but when I get back I want my grid and to be able to channel up and down like normal people.
Yes, I too am frustrated by the rudimentary fashion in which Plex Pass/Server Live TV performs.
A couple of items that would much improve the PLEX pass/server experience on my Android Shield TV.
Provide a means to allow me to select “Live TV” as the default path the Plex apk opens when selected from the Android OS running on the Shield.
Once a channel is selected, provide a channel + up and - down button for changing channels without having to exit to the guide and up/down to another channel.
I suspect that once a +/- channel up down method is provided that changing channels will be really slow, speed it up, don’t buffer the video until it’s already being displayed on screen.
When shield TV is powered off with a PLEX Live TV running, on power up the same channel should already be running again at power on. In today’s environement the Live TV channel is displayed for whatever channel was being viewed at power off and if watch is selected it may not display the same channel, i.e. it’ll default to first channel in the list.
Round robbin the TV guide, when you get to the end of the list (highest channel number) it should continue to rollover and display the lowest channel number next.
