[Feature Request] Missing Music Video Types

Currently we have a nifty way of classifying music videos according to their type, which adds label and orders them by type:

Interviews with the artists, behind the scenes footage, and more can be added to the artist in your library.
In order to do so, you'll need to ensure that the video files are named and organized appropriately.

GlobalFolder/Artist_Name - Descriptive_Name-Video_Type.ext
or
GlobalFolder/Artist_Name/Artist_Name(optional) - Descriptive_Name-Video_type.ext

Tip!: If you organize the videos into directories based on the artist as in the second option, the artist name is optional in the filename.

Where -Video_Type is one of:

-behindthescenes (behind the scenes)
-concert (concert performance)
-interview (artist interview)
-live (live music video)
-lyrics (lyrics music video
-video (regular music video)

If you exclude the "type" from the filename, it will default to the -video type.

I have quite a few videos that fit into two types not listed:

TV Appearance
Mashup

Would it be possible to get those two types added? Right now I’m using -video for them, but it would look cleaner if I could separate them by these types as well.

Also related: VEVO videos all come up as “Music Video” but there are lots of interviews, live videos and full concerts. It would be nice if we could categorize them as well.

I’ve got some that could be added to the list as well.

  • -contest (remix contests)
  • -highlights (clips from livestreams, podcasts)
  • -livestream (full livestreams)
  • -podcasts (full podcasts)
  • -reviews (review video’s)
  • -youtube (regular youtube video’s)

I confess I have no interest whatsoever in the additional options mentioned above, but I do understand that they are required by those who asked for them, just as I would like to have ‘documentary’ added as an option, but fully understand not everyone else requires that.

Thing is that all these ‘labels’ to identify different types of music video are very specific and personal to each user so it is utterly impossible for the Plex devs to get it right for everyone. Or is it…

Make these Video type options a configurable list. So initially just populated with those currently available (live, concert etc.) but allow the admin to modify that list to whatever suits their usage.

This would be a ‘one-time’ (and not hard I expect) change for the devs to implement and then they can forget it and move on to whatever else is currently required, secure in the knowledge that from then on, EVERY user can be fully satisfied in this regard with no further input from the devs.

Seems the ideal solution to me.
