I’m sure we all have that one friend that abuses the privilege of a shared server connected to an Internet connection with a data cap
There should be a feature that can:
- Limit streams to the local network on a per user basis
- Allow selective remote stream quality adjustments on a per user basis (720p for one and 480p for another remote user)
- Limit number of files streamed remotely on a per user basis (eg. friend can only watch 5 movies per month)
- The same file can not be remotely steamed by same user multiple times in one month
Elaboration on number 1: friend can watch unlimited on local network and everybody sync but less of no remote streaming
I think I’m in the opposite direction… I wish I force ORIGINAL quality on everything to suppress transcoding.

I think deleting the friend would fix that faster. If he abuses your data cap then he isn’t to much of a friend.
I wish when you stop playback that auto restart didnt just restart the steam on their device.
How worthless is the stop playback for server admin when the client app just restarts immediately.
