Feature request - music media player "shuffle feature"

Hi Gang,

its probably not the main meat and butter of plex, but i finally found the answer to avoiding itunes on a iphone, and thats using plex! i hate the de-centralized personal library of itunes, and plex is a wonderful music player.

ive been moving all my music media to my servers, and just syncing what i want to my phone through plex.

is it possible to add a shuffle feature? - entire synced library, album, etc…

I haven’t checked it out and so I’m not sure what it means however in the latest PlexPass release yesterday I did notice this.

(Library) Magic shuffle heuristics now employed in many more scenarios (e.g. smart playlists).

It may or may not be what you are asking for.

Is already there, you can shuffle among all songs, shuffle entire albums, or shuffle within a playlist.

That is a newer algorithm, but the “shuffle” ability should already be there.

@ze120 If you so not see the shuffle button, please provide a screenshot so I can see what screen you are looking at.

Hi Team,

I updated Plex on both my windows 10 server and ios device, and is now available on the top right corner.

This is awesome!
