I would like there to be an official Plex discord rich presence feature.
I know this was mentioned in another thread here:
HOWEVER. This thread is more of a general information thread on Discord + Plex, including things such as bots and the like, which would be separate anyway, whereas Discord rich presence is something that should be included in the base product.
Rich presence is mentioned in the thread, but it basically boils down to “someone already has a third party script to support it”.
I do not want to run a third party script on my system and want this to be included in the official Plex player release.
My request concerns rich presence and rich presence only.
This singular request was also done in two other threads, whom I think were unjustly closed for the reasons stated above:
Once again, having support for Discord bots and/or webhooks is a completely separate issue and as such, they should be treated as different feature requests.
