Feature Request: OneDrive Support for Cloud Sync

Hey Plexers,

With Microsoft going nutty with storage prices on OneDrive (see here: http://www.theverge.com/2014/6/23/5833808/onedrive-free-storage-increase-pricing-productivity-war), it would be great if Cloud Sync supported it. I could easily host my entire movie library in OneDrive with the storage that comes with Office 365.

I agree - in particular as googe drive has a bug which they've not fixed in over a year.

giving the onedrive API has a 100Mb file upload limit, it is totally useless for CloudSync (unless all your want is low quality tv shows)

+1 For adding Microsoft OneDrive support. With my new 1TB storage limit, I'm moving everything over to it.

Onedrive has/had a 2gb file size limit. But they are going to lift that limit or has already been lifted.

OneDrive now supports 10GB of single file.

Now it’s good to support OneDrive.

Why not post it in feature request section??

+1 on this.  Onedrive is at 10GB filesize limit and 30GB of free space.  See article here:  http://winsupersite.com/onedrive/microsoft-celebrates-iphone-6-launch-doubling-free-onedrive-storage-30-gb

(and added to post in feature request section)

This has now been created as a Feature Request located here: https://forums.plex.tv/topic/117427-microsoft-onedrive-cloud-sync-support/   (Thanks RAlfieri for starting that thread)

Please note that the Features & Bug Voting section is only accessible to logged in Plex Pass Members.  If you are a member and want to see this added, please head over to that thread and vote for it by liking the first post.  (as specified in the forum voting rules)

another +1 from me. Office 365 and Windows insider increased my storage to 10TB which will house all my media for quite some time.

+1

Would love this. I am a lifetime subscriber and would subscribe again if Plex introduced OneDrive. I have 10 TB of storage that I can use.

Make this happen please

Would this allow me to play/stream my video catalogue, stored exclusively on OneDrive, to Plex?

If so, I'd love to see it. With MS's unlimited storage coming to OneDrive, I can see it getting very popular, very quickly!

+1 MS is going crazy with the space giveaways lately...

+1 This would be very good!

+1 I have office 365 with 10TB of unused storage waiting for this feature

+1 I've got 2TB with One Drive, just itching for some Cloud Syncage.

+1 here. Waiting for this feature to subscribe to Plex

This is quite old now.
Why is there still no support for OneDrive??

This has been requested for a long time. Ease support OneDrive. OneDrive support is the only thing keeping me from buying a plex pass. I have over 1tb of OneDrive storage through my office365 subscription and I’m not about to pay for another cloud storage solution and plex pass on top of that.

Not having OneDrive support seems an odd thing for Plex to do as it’s significantly cheaper that other offerings and had 10gb file support - perfect for 1080p mkv files etc. Surely this would create a boom in subscriptions for the Plex Pass?

I would buy it - there would be no need for me to pointlessly store and transcode my own files for streaming - my upload speed wouldn’t be the limiting factor either - just fast downloads of the original file sizes from OneDrive.

Come on Plex, do it now before someone else does!
