Some of my library has a subtitle track available for the “directors commentary” audio, in addition to the regular subtitles for the main presentation audio track. These are usually labelled in other media players, as “English” and “English (Director’s Commentary)” or some such variation using the information embedded with the subtitles.
Plex however will just display two options: “English” and “English”.
When you then consider dual (or more) audio releases it becomes even harder to work out which one is the subtitle track you want to select.
Can Plex make use of the subtitle information to display the useful names?
At the time I didn’t have access to the plexpass forums - hence posting it here. Though it’s frustrating that a free user has no way to +1 existing feature requests… I wonder if plex employees actually look at feature requests in this forum (as the description implies) and collate them with the plexpass ones…

No, frustrating is the fact that Feature Requests are treated like those oozing sores you get when you contract the Plague - something to be avoided - by Plex Staff. You can probably count on one hand (with some fingers missing from that drunken July 4th Party) the Feature Requests that were actually done and it’s very likely those were coincidence.

I don’t have to wonder - Plex employees DON’T look at Feature Requests. In ANY forum. Period.
