How about a radio station that only uses the “Popular Tracks” from all of the artists? Better yet if you could have a genre or decade based station of only “Popular Tracks”.
That’s exactly what radios already do. Except that they don’t stop when the popular tracks have been exhausted. They then proceed to the less popular stuff.
“Library Radio” comes closest to “only the popular stuff”.
For a single artist, the 
button (artist shuffle) does pretty much that (well, it biases towards popular and highly rated tracks).
