This is similar to this issue here about Plexamp randomly playing songs at randomly seeked times.
Now that I know it’s due to Store Track Progress being checked ON within the Library Settings, I was wondering if there could be a way that when playing an Album full stop, that it would override this setting. I noticed that when I was listening to an album in Plexamp, rather than a song or anything else, it would occasionally have a song start randomly half-way through. Bugged me before, but now I understand.
I get that it’s probably an atomic setting and Plexamp would have to respect it, but it would be lovely to have this feature if it’s possible. If you require any more information, please let me know!
I guess I had it enabled because it’s a neat feature to have, I thought beforehand, but now that I know that I don’t really need it for Music, I’ll just keep it off.
You’re right I could make another library, and just have that media have different options. Can you have two libraries point to the same media and have one with the option enabled and one without?
Other than that, I can see this request as closed as it can be easily mitigated with another library.
