First, I am very excited about many of the new features in the new Premium Music Library so I don't want to seem ungrateful, because I am not. I appreciate all of the work the Plex team puts into every update. With that said I have some suggestions that I will try to break up into individual posts for each feature request for the purpose of tracking popularity among users, etc.
Right now the filters in the Music section are very limited. The only three I see are Genres, Country, and Collection. I think there are many more that can be added such as Date Added, Release Year, Artist (so you can select multiple artists), Rating, Play Count, Last Played, etc. The last couple I mentioned are available as a sorting criteria, but that is not the same as a filter. If the filter in the music section is meant to be the method by which "Smart Playlists" are created than it needs to be much more robust. I love the idea of completely replacing iTunes with Plex Music, but right now I still need to use iTunes to organize my music and most of all to manage proper Smart Playlists. I hope that the Music library of Plex will continue to advance to be the truly powerful music management system it can be.
