[Feature Request] Public playlists / share playlists with users on the same PMS

+1 from me.

Was just telling my friends about the playlists I created specifically for their benefit and was shocked to find they couldn’t see the playlists. And then even more shocked that I was unable to share them. Was able to copy them manually using WebTools Plugin (https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1628245/#Comment_1628245), but that seems a bit “hacky” to me. +1 for being able to share playlists with users natively.

+1 for this request

+1. Webtools playlist copying is no replacement for global or public playlists

+1.00001 for this.

+1. Its such a time waster to try to keep playlists in sync between users on the same server.

This would be a great way to share movies we’ve liked. I have a playlist specifically for new movies I’ve discovered recently and think my friends would like to watch, but I always have to tell them about it outside of Plex.

+1 I want this for music playlists

+1 to duplicate playlist to certain friends or groups.

But you can do that with collections already.

Again, you seem to be looking for shareable playlists when you could easily make collections that will be in order?

You can’t share collections as a shared user, only as a home/managed user I believe. I want all my shared users to share their playlists easily.

I also want the option to create playlists with my Admin user account and to be able to share them with other user accounts.

And to the people who say “Oh, you can do that with collections!” I say “No, you aren’t listening to me.”

Adding all my Star Wars movies into a collection is one thing, but if I want to curate a specific list the easiest option is to add the file to a playlist, rather than open the file in question and add it to a collection.

In fact, single episodes of television shows can’t be added to collections! Only entire shows can be added!
