The Feature Request:
I am requesting the urgent restoration of the “Repeat One” and “Repeat All” functionality within the iOS app. This feature is currently standard on the Web Viewer and Roku clients but is missing or non-functional on iOS.
The Problem:
The ability to loop content has effectively been removed from the iOS app. Previously suggested community workarounds—such as adding a second item to a play queue to “force” the repeat icon to appear—no longer work. Even when playing a full playlist or a queue with multiple items, there is no accessible radio to enable looping.
Use Case:
-
Single Video Loop: Looping a single item (e.g., background ambiance, holiday visuals, or children’s content) without manual intervention.
-
Playlist Continuity: Setting a video or music playlist to “Repeat All” for continuous playback during events or focused sessions.
Why this is important:
This is a regression of a core media player feature. Currently, the iOS app is the only major Plex client that lacks a functional way to repeat content. Restoring this would bring the iOS app back into parity with the rest of the Plex ecosystem and fix a significant usability gap for mobile users.
