Plex app ios 2025.15.0 (053) - Playlists are hard to get to and appear to repeat shows

Hi I’ve been using the new Plex App on my ipad for a week now and have a few comments.

  1. Is there a way to bring movie and tv playlists to the front? right now you have to click through libraries, select a library and then select Playlists to find them, when they used to be easier to get to.
  2. I’ve noted that when playing movie playlists some movies are just repeating and it is not moving onto the next movie in the playlist. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

So I’ve found more information. Apparently the iOS version is lacking these options that are in the browser version.

So I’ve found you can turn them off in the browser and they work on the ios App but you don’t have access to these controls in the app.

I’m having the same issues on my iPad. In your screenshot, the repeat option, does toggling that on/off impact the whole playlist or just that individual movie? Thanks! Jenn

From what I’ve seen it affects the whole playlist. It takes time to test so happy to hear whether you see the same.

But of course you need to do it in a browser because the feature is not visible in the app.

Thank you so much, this did seem to help. Toggling on repeat in the browser version caused autoplay to work.

I do still have to start the playlist from the beginning using the “watch” button. If I start from a random movie in the list, at the end of the movie it will not play the next.

I also still can’t edit playlists from the iPad app, only in browser. Hopefully they’ll fix this, or better yet - roll back the update.

So it is not consistent. Some movies repeat.

So how does one get this raise to the attention of plex support?

So the looping of individual movies in playlists still continues. I cannot determine why this is the case. There are no controls in the iOS app to manage it and nothing I can see on the server side to configure it either.

I’m not sure what “Roku app” means and what it has to do with the conversation about the IOS app not being able to play playlists without repeating movies and being able to access playlists from the top menu.
