When setting up to record a show the very first dropdown option option “RECORD” is greyed out and shows “All Episodes” and cannot be changed. Is this a local setup issue that is only effecting me, or just the way it is?
I would like to be able to set an episode range to record. For example, recording The Big Bang Theory in the UK at the moment 81 various episodes from Series/Season 1,4,5,6,8,9,10 are available. I would like to set it to only record from S10E01 onwards, but this is not possible and I either have to remember to manually record each S10 episode manually, or record all (81!) episodes listed.
First, it’s nice to see that there’s another Big Bang Theory fan here. I love that show. I’m actually a little jealous of you right now, because although I also have a local channel that plays TBBT episodes, it doesn’t play nearly that many episodes. My local listings show only 24 episodes, mainly from the later seasons (although they do like airing the episodes in order, so they might get to the earlier seasons in a few months).
But yes, that’s just how it is, unfortunately. You can either record all the episodes airing, new and repeat, or just ones that are airing for the first time (such as season 11). I believe that Plex scans your library and only records episodes you don’t already have, though.
