Feature Request - Select Scene Subtitles

Apologies if these feature request has already been made, but I couldn’t find it.

There are dozens of movies in which the vast majority of the movie is spoken in english with the exception of one or two scenes that are usually important to the plot.

Examples:
The Avengers (2012) - Black Widow’s Russian scene at the start of the movie
Snowpiercer - Where the Korean scientist explains a major plot point
The Immigrant
True Lies

The idea of this feature request would be that lines spoken in a foreign language would use the default language subtitle file to provide subtitles for select scenes but not for the whole movie. I imagine this would require a trigger start and end time markers to be added to those scenes, trigging the subtitle. This could possibly be community driven, allowing people to flag select subtitle scenes that would be propagated to rest of the community if this feature is enable in their Plex. Thanks for your time.

This already exists and is called ‘forced’ subtitles.
Or in Plex it’s called ‘foreign-audio subtitles’.

All you need is a subtitle file which only contains the foreign lines. Then put it beside your video file and name it as a ‘forced’ subtitle.

As for the community aspect: There are several sites out there which collect subtitles. Some of them are also collecting those ‘forced’ subtitles.
