As of posting, I am running PMS v1.24.3.5033 (Public Channel) on Windows Server 2019.
My server has a mix of local and remote connections. The issue is that since the expired CA back in September, I now have an LG smart TV (with sw v6.X) that, based on the Plex post regarding deprecated hardware, should still be able to work with the “Required” Secure option, especially via LAN. Unfortunately that isn’t the case. I’d also much rather not have to purchase a new auxiliary device (Roku, Chromecast, etc) to mitigate this.
Plus, I’d really rather not set it to Prefered for any legacy devices that are remote.
Is it possible to include the option to have the Secure Connections be set independently with LAN and WAN? Or possibly specify IPs or subnets where the setting is applied? The “all or nothing” approach bums me out lol
