I suppose from Plex’s perspective, everyone that is complaining about this here are already plex pass members so there is not incentive for them to do so as we already paid are dues.
I only have a month pass for the simple reason to test Plex. So they won’t really be getting anymore cash from me if this feature is avoided or not updated and I think a fair few other people will do the same… The way Plex has the tv guide implemented is total crap… it looks pretty but pretty doen’t cut it when you can’t find anything… and I really dont want to be having to click a search box at the top… thank you very much… but no thanks.
This is a needed feature that I wished for from the start. OP perfectly explains something that every Live TV host must offer. I completely support this idea and I believe that EVERY unspoken user of Live TV / DVR feels the same
I also agree with the need for this feature. I bought a HDHomeRun thinking I’d then be able to watch terrestrial TV or record programs that are harder to find online, but the currently layout makes it too difficult and counterproductive to bother using it at all.
Yeah, I am wondering about this also, the grid view looks awesome when accessing it from a web browser, but roku’s don’t have that option in plex, so hopefully it is in the works to pass on to the plex apps soon.

Make sure to download PMS 1.13.2.5154. It has the version of Plex Web that is required for grid view.

The grid/timeline channels view is coming to more apps. Web is just the first one to get it.
I think this really sucks. Without the look-ahead capability of the grid view I can only set my recording schedule at my server computer and not at the television where I need it while watching TV.
Darcilicious, your answer is not an answer. Let me ask it again in a more direct way. Can we expect a grid view with the 10 day look-ahead to be added to the TV Plex apps in the near future?
I’m sorry to be getting curt about this subject but Plex has been collecting $5 a month for plex pass that I subscribe to for the guide and it is useless to me without the guide available where it is needed, at the TVs. It’s unbelievable that Plex has let this go so long and not answered yes, it’s coming or no, they will not do it. Also, ever sense Plex changed the guide source, the wrong channel information is showing on the grid for my area, Springfield, Mo.
I can’t find where the EPG is set in my PLex TV app. All, I remember is that this upgrade was done, I just followed Plex’s suggested default selection. In the Springfield, Mo. channel lineup, it shows channek 49.1 as KPJP-LD as the originating station with the wrong programming. It should be KRBK. All other 49.2, 49.3, and 49.4 are shown as KRBK sub-channels. The channel lineup also shows 24.4 sub-channel without a primary hosting channel. We don’t have a channel 24 here.
