I like the existing EPG with recommended shows etc but I would love it if I was able to view the upcoming shows by channel as well. Often I only watch content on a select few channels so it would be nice to see what’s coming up and set it to record without having to move away to different sites.
I would like for options to list the channels by channel number, channel name, and to have a favorites list.
I think a great place for this would be the drop down that lists: Discover, Watch Now, Movies, Sports, News, etc…I’d like to see more options to display the same information in different ways. There are times when any of these different methods are beneficial. I definitely would like the default view to be as is, because I like the way Plex has organized the EPG. It is innovative, and blends right into the rest of the media center.

What’s innovative about pretending that TV doesn’t have channels?

in·no·va·tive ˈinəˌvādiv/, adjective
(of a product, idea, etc.) featuring new methods; advanced and original.
I think the Plex format fits the description…Definitely a different way of displaying shows. Not necessarily better in all cases or for everyone, but innovative nonetheless.
Indeed +1. A problem with the current user interface is that if the program you wish to record does not appear in the EPG for whatever reason, then you simply cannot record it.
