Personally I think all of these would be great additions to add value to the Plex DVR, my personal favorite being viewing and time shifting a recording in progress. What feature do you think would add the most value to Plex’s DVR?
I figured since I have a Plex Pass I might as well jump on in and use it!
I’d vote for Stability, stability, stability. NO new features until this thing runs solid. I’d like to not be on v1.6.1 just to have some sense of stability and tuner awareness.
All of the above are important.
I would also add asymmetric tuner configurations.
For example, you could configure an HDHomeRun Extend and an HDHomeRun Prime. If Clear QAM is an option then a combo of ClearQAM, ATSC and CableCard would be great flexibility.
Record shows by series is already implemented. It won’t record anything that is already in the same library.
I’d like to see better recording conflict management. For example I would like to see Plex auto de-conflict better since some of the shows I see conflicts with I know there are multiple shows in a given day or week. However, it still sometimes gets stuck with unresolved conflicts.
So whenever there is a conflict and it requires manual attention it would be good to have repeat showing info for all shows in the conflicting time slot.
I’m with Chris, stability. It’s almost worthless for me right now.
