Would Plex be able to add a feature to the Plex apps (eg ROKU) that allows you to see the EXACT folders and sub folders a picture is indexed to, please, so that the context of the picture can be determined?
I have thousands of pictures spanning across years and I sort them in my Windows folders by naming the folders with a number, topic (eg vacation) and date. When I am playing a random slide show on my TV of all my photos, friends or family may ask about the picture. Unfortunately in the Plex apps only the date is displayed for the picture. Years from that date, I won’t remember necessarily where the picture was taken or what the event was .
The only way I can do it is use Intel Wireless Display to run the Plex server slide show on the TV, then go to pictures on this day, then select info for one of the pics for that day, and then I can see the folder name the photo was indexed to (which has all the info I need to tell family members about the pic).
Photos often have file names that are dates or other numbers. So I create context for my photos by naming the folder they go into using specific info. I would like to be able to see that specific info- ie the folder name.
A bonus feature would be able to jump to the folder directly, as the pictures on this day only shows one day and a vacation, for example, spans many days.
Thanks!
