Feature requests - view albums in playlist, use playlist as basis for radio

Hello Plex people,

Really loving Plex Amp - thank you! I’ve reconnected with music lately and Plex Amp has been a big part of it.

There are a couple of features that I’d love to see:

1-
I like to listen to whole albums. I have some playlists that are made up of albums.

If I open a playlist, I just see tracks - there’s no way to browse by album or drill down to an individual album.

Could you change the interface to make this possible?

2-
Somewhat related: I really like the mix/radio stations.

Would it be possible to add a station that is seeded from a playlist?

In other words, I’d like to play music from my library that is similar/related to the music in a playlist.

What do you think?

Thanks again!

I really like the radio from playlist idea!

we’ll see if we can allow that in the future, i used to browse my iTunes playlists by different types…

this is slightly tricky as a playlist can have between 1 and “all” artists from a library in it, so it’s not clear you could make a “reasonable” station where there are more than a few artists in it.

Super, thanks you for the reply and for your thoughts!

On the subject of a “playlist radio” - I wonder if you could use the relative proportion of artists in the playlist to weight the radio algorithm? Or are there other signals you can use - like the genre of tracks? And, I suppose, if the worst case is that you end up with “library radio”, that’s not very bad. Just thinking out loud…

By the way, my personal opinion is that the more surprising/less predicable the radios, the better.

Keep up the great work.
