- option to disable all background workflows while playback/transcoding is in progress (for weaker motherboards)
- option/methods to handle duplicated medias: possibility to choose playback source when more than 1 source available
- scheduled folder or/and internet updates - from to intervalls or option to disable automatic updates (I'll script it myself)
- proxy use would be pleased for metadata internet updates
- metadata backup/restore possibility (for server crashes)
- option to disable main screen options: like pereferences for clients (for eg children should not set any preference)
- user identification possibility (for eg seen list/children age blocking according to MPAA)
- how to know if pms use dlna engine or transcoding ? would be great if it would be displayed at movie info at playback (dlna or transcoding)
- show movie 3d attribute at movie info

...yeah I know it depends on multiuser support...that would be great...here are my alternatives for this topic:
alternative #1 : bases on mpaa rating - different pin ( or longer and longer) codes for different ages...eg over 12 years need a 4 digit pin code, eg 1234; over 16 vears the unlock code 12345678
alternative #2 : identify user with 4 digit number and at least 4 digit password/pin code - should be handled with email alerts and lockout and PUK code...but not impossibble :)
alternative #3: lock content by client device - eg for the children's TV can not playback MPAA R rated movies...
ps: any statement about multiuser support would be pleased - will you implement it or not ?
-- nfo generation or freebase/imdb id writing into avi header - for eg later (migration/database corruption/shareing...) OR option to rename append original file with movie ID
-- filter movies by attribute (missing: not 100% identified movies) OR by a manually saved/checked attribute (I used to check, whether auto movie tagging misses the title and now I have to write in notepad where I finished yesterday)
-- show/search movies with original title - for users who not an english/international title database professional...
-- duplication handling - rate movies by quality (manually) or option to move selected movie to another folder/bin....or at least PLEASE show the filename by pushing the remote's info button....
