Hi, great product and easiest to use for streaming when outside.

I am considering plex pass for this function and checking if it will work the way i want it to.

I want to create a profile for each member of the family. Will it keep watched status, on deck, etc all separate and track them by profile?
I would rather people not able to see what others are watching or in progress; mainly younger kids not seeing HBO shows my and wife watch.

I also want to disable downloading to a device or PC for offline viewing, Mobile Sync i think is the feature. Can this be disabled?

Can I also disable uploading photos (Camera Upload)? I have a different system for photos.

Sync and camera upload can be disabled.
Managed accounts(or profile as you say) will not share any watched status, on deck, etc…

Yes, everything is based on users, so if each person is their own user, everything will be separate. You don’t need a Plex Pass for this.

With Plex Pass you can also set restrictions for users so they won’t have access to videos you don’t want. You can do this without a Plex Pass too but you have to separate out videos into separate libraries and only share specific libraries.

Yes. It is disabled by default. You need to enable it.

Same answer as Mobile Sync.

With the free plex server when i am logged in with my account (non-paid) , i see this in the users setting: You need a Plex Pass to add users to your home.

Is there a different setting or window you are referring to?

There are 2 ways to share. 1 is Plex Home, which is a Plex Pass feature. 2 is as a regular friend. No Plex Pass needed for this.
