I am having what I believe to be a common issue, I have seen it posted on the Plex.tv forums but the suggestions have not helped me.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me to try?
Despite what folks may say, periods in the title to replace spaces have no bearing what so ever.
Is themoviedb the agent you are using for that library? It is not the default agent. Plex Movie is. did you update it for that too?
Can you provide the xml for the file. Get Info>View XML
I just moved Local Media Assets below Plex Movie, which I didn’t do before.

in the poster of the movie or on the summary screen click the vertical ellipses and choose get info. on the bottom of the window that opens click view xml on the bottom left
So it looks like most of the titles fixed themselves overnight. There were some that still didn’t.

This is the Plex Movie agent GUID guid="com.plexapp.agents.imdb://tt2345759?lang=en" so that is the right one. Not sure why it did not update when you refreshed metadata after rearranging agents. If there are not many left then you can do fix match or a Unmatch>Match to manually search again.
it is not the end of the world but if you are going to leave the name like this is best to put each movie file in a folder with a simple name of the movie and the year in parenthesis. Plex will use the folder name for search.
