File Naming - Custom Info

Hi,

I’d like to add some additional information to my movies file names for non plex related purposes but I don’t know how to do it with the focus to prevent false matches as much as possible in plex.

E.g. “My Movie Title (Year) (Source).ext”

Does anyone have already experiences with this or a little more deep insight in the algorithm?

Plex will ignore information in square brackets []

Best way is to put custom info at the end of the file name in square brackets.
so for movies:
Movie Title (year) - [custom info].ext
