This is the second time that I’ve seen this issue. I recorded the Rookie last night and this morning I looked at the location that The Rookie file was stored, I also found three other files one The Rookie..log which contained something to do with comskip. One The Rookie.logo.txt which contained graphic ABC about 60 lines using | * and other characters. One The Rookie.txt zero length. They were all created at 11:01PM.
Why are these files still in the folder. They don’t appear in the other recorded shows.
These are temporary files created by the Plex commercial skipper (which is a Plex-compiled version of Comskip). Normally they are deleted as part of the post-processing. The fact that they aren’t being deleted suggests that something caused that process to fail.
You’ll likely need to provide server logs showing the timeframe where the recording occurred to track this down. Otherwise, you can just delete and ignore the files.
It would be best if you just uploaded the entire ZIP file with all logs included.
But, at a minimum, you’d need to provide all “Plex Media Server” log files (Plex Media Server.log plus all the numbered ones). You’ll need to compress them if you go that route.
