I know you can filter by HDR, but is there a specific way to search/filter for Dolby Vision movies?
Nope, because plex still wonât give us identification for such things. It might be possible through PM4K but not the official apps.
Seems like such a simple thing to implementâŠsighâŠ
Thereâs a lot which doesnât display in the current apps.
The new âPlex Experienceâ apps being developed show and provide a lot more.
Iâm still watching and learning as they develop them.
Iâd be happy just getting it in the web app to start.
This close to releasing the new player apps, we wonât be seeing new features in Plex/web (as we know it now)
So then you can delete all the âfeature requestâ and voting stuff?
With the third-party tool Edition Manager for Plex, you can write information such as HDR and Dolby Vision into the filmâs Edition metadata. This allows you to filter Editions using the keyword âDVâ to easily find all Dolby Vision films. It even indicates whether the film is P5, P7, or P8.
When the new players are released, we will go through and clean up (comment & close) the implemented Feature Requests
When was the last time any of them were acted on anyway?
Engineering & Product teams go through the feature requests quarterly.
They look at the new requests and scope what they think the effort would entail.
Whenever Iâm involved with a feature request or issue, I will follow it through completion.
Is there any list you know of showing when anything was last done with any of it?
