I like to use the sleep function on my mini pc PHT, as it boots rather slowly usually, and the boot time increased from 1.5.2 to 1.6. However, upon waking PHT would not connect to the PMS server for maybe a couple minutes, showing only two things: Watch Later, and Channels, but both of them empty. It will connect back to the PMS after a few minutes usually, or if I manually disable and re-enable the network interface (wired). Is there a setting somewhere that I can change so that it actively look for PMS when waking up?
Weirdly enough, a combination of OpenPHT and Win10 upgrade resolved this for me. Tried various tweaks like setting a manual server and static IP but they didn’t seem to make much difference. Finds my server now within 5 seconds of resuming from sleep.
Sadly it doesn’t help too much with your embedded install, but maybe try the static IP and manual server stuff, best of luck!
The static IP trick doesn’t improve the situation much, as you have experienced. Right now it takes maybe 20 or 30 seconds for the menu to return to normal. Not too bad but 5s is definitely much better. Another thing I have noticed is that, while the server seems to be absent, thus only showing “Search” and “Watch Later”, Search actually WORKS! I searched for a video that I know existed in my server and it actually show up. At this point if escape out back to the home menu it still shows only search and watch later.
At first I thought maybe this is because of the library cache. However playback actually works. There’s probably something amiss there…
Another observation: The various library folders actually show up briefly for less than a second initially, and then disappears. I’ll see if i can get a video of that happening.
@swot Please enable debug logging in preferences and share a link to a log covering the time before sleep until the library folders actually show again after wake.

After latest plex server update 1.0.3.2461, the issue reappeared. Symptom is the same as before. Menu item of various libraries not showing, but search and playback works.
