I’m sorry if this doesn’t belong here but I am becoming frustrated. There is a bug in Plex.
So this is how you can replicate the bug on FireTV.
Search for an actor or director (you know is in your collection) click on a movie or TV episode ( not music) then play. Then Plex reboots.
Plex Media Server version?
Plex FireTV client version?
FireTV model (there are many)?

Plex Media Server: 1.21.1.3830, Synology DS918+
Plex Client: 8.11.0.22186, Amazon FireTV 4K stick, connected to HDMI input on LG B7 OLED.
I’m seeing the same thing as @e_nmc. I also noticed that after the search, if you directly select a movie instead of the actor, the movie plays.
On Plex home screen, search for hems.
Select Chris Hemsworth from list of actors (List also includes Liam, Luke, & Taylor Hemsworth).
Select movie “12 Strong.”
The Plex client immediately restarts, returning to home page.
On Plex home screen, search for hems.
Select movie “12 Strong.”
Movie plays.
Let movie play for ~30 seconds, press back key to return to pre-play screen. Plex client restarts, returning to home page (the restart after exiting playback did not always happen).
Client logs: (File removed)
It is not in the logs, but it is repeatable. I test things a couple of times to make sure I could reproduce the situation. I also tested searching for “Nimoy” (only one actor listed), and selected one of the Star Trek movies. The behavior is the same as when searching for “Hems.”

The client reboots not the Fire TV. I can replicate it every I search for many different actors & directors. If I try to open a movie or TV episode the Plex client will crash and reboot. But if I search for the name of the movie of TV show it will play just fine so it is not corrupted media.

Hey I found another bug. I don’t know if it is associated with my original bug,
So open up any TV show in Library mode then scroll down to the cast and IT DOES NOT DO ANYTHING.
BTW I Think I have a bug in music as well. but I required further investigation.
P.S Is this bug in all android TVs?
