If Plex players are taking a bit of a back seat or changing, such as moving audio playback to another app, is the Plex video app still going to get updates to audio output?
A lot of people have HRA (High Resolution Audio) for their music (myself included). Those are typically compressed to FLAC format.
I have a bunch of Blu-rays I’ve imported from Japan, and they have 24-bit 48kHz PCM audio (not FLAC). It appears 24-bit 48kHz PCM audio isn’t supported, and that’s probably why I’ve had so many audio issues with my imported Japanese shows (they come with PCM audio on the disc).
I’m bringing this up because I don’t want the PlexAmp app to get support for high-res audio and the Plex video app to get left behind. Is this something where both apps will get updates when audio codecs change?
