FireStick 4K Max (Select) Button doesn't work

FireStick 4k MAX

I’ve just updated on all my FIrestick’s and have a problem on just 1, my Firestick 4k MAX. The select button registers (Click sound from TV) when I click it but nothing happens. I have two remote on that TV and bot behave the same. My iPhone fire app is able to select. But everything in the UI That requires the select/ok (Center button) does not work with this new release.
What I’ve tried:
Cleared data/cache/reinstall app,
Updated firestick
Power cycled everything.

Clearly the Select/OK mapping is wrong on the Firestick 4K Max remotes.

Same for me. Is the only option to sideload an older version?

I was able to use my Xbox controller which is linked to Firestick as the only way to select… Remote select is definitely doing same to me after updating…

I am also having this issue with my Firestick 4K (2nd GEN) I logged out of my account and now I can’t log in.

I have found that when I download the FireTV remote APP for my phone the sign in button works when selected. Unfortunately I have to use my phone to do it. I am wanting to use my FireTV remote. This seems like an operability issue with the app/remote interface.

Update. OK I was using an older remote with my 4k MAX. if I use the original remote the select bottom now works on plex. WTF.

That’s too bad. I assume you were also disappointed in the devices original remote? I thought it was kinda creaky and cheap feeling compared to the remote from the gen 1.
