Firestick 4k max: this server is not powerful enough to convert video

just bought life support about 2 days ago, but it never works properly on my firestick 4k max:
At the very begining, everytime i play a video from private library, it plays well for some random duration and tells “An error occurred while attempting to play this video check the connection and try again” tried to adjust many things, but not working. Saw a thread in reddit says reinstalling plex app on firestick might fix it. I did, now i get this message instead, the behavior is exactly the same, open a video, it plays for a random duration and throws the error.

I’m using just my pc to host the server, with 32G ram, i9-10900KF as CPU and RTX as GPU, checked the CPU and GPU usage during playback: the plex media server has CPU usage lesser than 2% and 0% for GPU. Also considering the hardware setup, the issue the error message says should not happen (btw. i have DSL with 250Mb download and 40Mb upload)

here is the log: (i tried to fix an issue where it says TypeNone dont have method len, should not affect the problem, because the problem exists and behaved exactly the same before and after my fix)

I am getting the exact same thing, no issue on the normal 4k stick, just the Max perhaps it does nor recognize it as it is a new device

If you turn Transcoding off its a no longer an issue but could be a problem for other devices

Interesting about the transcoding. Mine says it is playing Direct Play, however there are sporadic .ts files in my Plex Media Server\Cache\Transcode\Sessions folder.

tried various methods from internet none of them worked for me. However i accidently solved it, and it is exactly the opposite solution as you said:

i checked the videos from firestick, it says, “play in original quality”, as i turned that into “automatic convertion” (or something like that, sry the UI is in germany), it actually no longer crashes. However setting this do couses random quality drop.
