Basically as title states the clients transcode reason claims media is not compatible with device.
This is known, it has to do with Interlaced source… 720p Mpeg-2 Plays fine, but 1080i content does not. It’s being looked into.
This is a terrible problem that just started in the last couple weeks. My 4K videos and my 1080i (OTA) videos are all being forced to transcode whereas before a couple weeks ago they all direct played–terrible
I think reverting to the old player is a work-around.

That’s not working anymore unfortunately… The latest version of the server or the firestick app, not sure which it is, has stopped that work around… but there’s a thread about the 1080i and there’s a thread about the 4K already, and employees are on it, so hopefully we’ll see a fix in the next update
