FireTv Stick 4K black screen when playing 1080p

Within the past few days, playing 1080p (H.264) content on my FireTV Stick 4K produces a black screen. Audio plays, but nothing comes up on video.

  1. If I force transcoding to 720p Medium (3mbps) quality, the transcoder kicks in and the video will pay. My library is full of 1080p content and every 1080p file that I’ve played does it. If I play a file that played fine last week, the problem still happens.

  2. Turning off the enhanced player has no effect.

  3. Changing H264 Maximum Level from 5.2 (Recommended) to Disabled has no effect.
