First Installation - I am totally lost

What a terrible software. Look to what Apple does. Use the products without help.
Plex is lightyears away from it. So why I am complaining ?

First installation. Okay, not be the first, but when I tried the first time I was already lost with what I was presented. So I de-installed it until I have more time to look into it. Now was the time.

But it is a total disaster. Nothing works. I installed plex from the Synology Paket Center again.
When following the path I get the screen:
No Authorization.
You have no authorization for this server.
You can probably assign it to your account by “opening plex …” in the MacOS menu or Windows system tray. For further tips …

This is obviously no help as I am accessing it via browser. I tried to follow https://support.plex.tv/articles/200288586-installation/
but when trying to open via SSH it is administratively prohibited.

Anyhow this is not the way it should be: There should be a help what can be done.
Instead one is lost. Support is not available from Plex, only forum.
Why should I consider to buy such terrible software, if there is no support, but forums?

Anyone has a clue or a better alternative to such a disaster?

I would recommend that you use another app like Emby. I agree that Plex has a very steep learning curve but then, I might add that it is way more powerful. Once you get the hang of it, you don’t want to use something else.

Because the forums are supported by the community and plex staff, 99% of issues can be fixed.
