That is not my understanding of how the xbox one works. Xbox one outputs almost always 60 hz or 50 hz based off what kind of tv you have. The bluray app has a 24hz mode, but my supposition is other apps don't have access to that mode because none have ever used it. So the app will do pulldown (should be similar or the same as xbmc as our understanding was this was based off of pht/xbmc).

Just to correct you, this application has nothing to do with XBMC or even PHT. It does not share any code with either of the applications, mostly because they are written in a completely different language...

The Plex for Xbox One application relies on the native video playback of the device. There are no public APIs that we can use to "adjust" the video mode. It's possible that Microsoft's Bluray App is using private APIs and we can discuss with Microsoft what the best approach to support future features.

Yeah, 5.1 works well :) The Xbox One doesn't yet natively support DTS, but can handle e(AC3) really well. If you're attempting to play anything which is DTS, Plex Media Server will simply transcode the audio to the natively support audio format.
