I have noticed a huge problem with a lot of friends and family not understanding how the UI on Plex works and trying to play a show from the “recently added television” link and watching the last added show instead of the first episode or the episode they are on. I have noted easily 80% of the people I have shared with do this. In my opinion this is a major user interface problem. At first I tried to catch people doing this and contact them to tell them why they are watching a TV show that does not make any sense but it happens so much I got tired of it.
Please either have the “recently added television” go to a season list if the user has past unwatched episodes or have some kind of warning before the video plays.
