In PlexMediaPlayer [PMP] it is possible to set the audio device to exclusive mode (I did that by setting “sections.audio.exclusive” to “true” in the plexmediaplayer.conf file located in ~/AppData/Local/PlexMediaPlayer).
This enables bit-perffect audio with my DAC.
At least I tend to believe that, since after this change (and a restart of PMP) the LED on my DAC indicates the right sampling rate and bit depth of the audio file played
Is something similar also possible for plexamp?
Can I also set a configuraiton option, so that it plays sound in exclusive mode (and bit-perfect)?
Exclusive mode under Windows allows applications to bypass the mixer built into Windows, which resamples everything based on the mixer settings. Exclusive mode allows for audio to be transferred to the DAC without any modifications - ‘bit-perfect’. Right now, Plexamp doesn’t have this feature.
I know, I have this setting, but unfortunately sometimes it doesn’t work. I’ve noticed that with couple of my double albums (Pink Floyd, etc). So still wating for a new release of plexamp for RPI.
And I know, that this thread is about win, sorry about that, but this one is still active.
