(fixed) Server un-authorized from my account, now cannot access it

Last night Plex decided that I no longer own one of my servers. I tried re-claiming it but clicking the claim button did nothing. I followed the support page steps and deleted the PlexOnline registry files, but like a fool didn’t make backups of the registry entries. I backed up my metadata and reinstalled plex server and tried logging back into the server, and while i can log into plex the server does not show up. It says “not authorized” and won’t let me try to claim it.

I reset my password to force new tokens for everything and my other server is reconnected fine but the windows server with the issue still won’t connect. Any time I try to open plex with “open plex…” on the toolbar it just opens a page and says “getting ready” perpetually and never does anything. Currently the “plexonlinetoken” field in the registry is empty. Is there a way to get a new token to put in the registry?

Tried using the claim token but putting it in that field doesn’t do anything. Also tried SSH tunneling option with puTTy but I don’t know if I’m experienced enough to set that up properly because the connection just kept timing out and I’m not really sure what to do. The SSH thing worked when my other server did this same exact thing a few days ago but that was on a QNAP server and the SSH thing seemed to work flawlessly. On my windows server I’ve had no such luck.

Have you seen https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/ ?

yes and tried all that, but actually not sure what I did differently just now but i managed to get it reclaimed and everything is good now.
