I have a music library and I’m not sure how but the metadata is quite messed up. Some albums are OK, but some tracks are sorted under different albums, different artists. In every one of these examples that I’ve checked, the id3 tags on the files are correct, but plex sorted them under a different artist or album. Some of these messed-up tracks are in the same directory as tracks that are fine.
I tried to “refresh all metadata” but it did not fix anything.
I tried to create a new music library from scratch with the same sources and it looks fine. I could just replace the old library with this one, but the old one has a lot of playlists that I would like to keep.
So I think I can try to figure out one of two solutions: fix the metadata on the original library, or export the playlists from one library and import to the other.
