I tried to make a premium music library last night. It was slow and fixed some issues but created other issues.
Artist that has pictures didn’t in premium.
One Album that was fine was broken into 3. Multi disc albums were separate instead of one.
Also having issues with some sound tracks va albums not being in a va folder after i spent a lot of time setting it up in the old library to not be like that.
I thought premium music was to be like magic. I feel like same problems just different albums. / and seems settings I made don’t count in premium.
Hour can a Album working fine now be separated into 3?

Thanks

Basic libraries get metadata for matched artists/albums from Last.FM, Premium libraries get it from Gracenote. In both cases, if your music files aren’t either properly organized and named according to these guidelines, or have incorrect information in certain embedded ID3 tags, Plex and the online services will have trouble getting it right. In your case, since it appeared to be correct in your Basic library (assuming you didn’t manually correct things), the problem is likely that Gracenote is giving you garbage metadata.

In my experience, both services are full of garbage, especially for classical music. They are so inaccurate that I finally put in the time to get my embedded ID3 tags whipped into shape, and have configured Plex to use embedded tags in preference to online data. It’s a lot of work, and worse the larger your collection is, but since doing so, my headaches in this area have disappeared.
