I have content spread across multiple folders; therefore, I have more than one movie folder. I would prefer to not have to browse separate folders. The “Shuffle” feature is great but applies to the folder that I am in. Also, perusing separate folders is just less than ideal. Is there something that I’m overlooking? Why should I have to grind it down to specific folder. Heck, why does it matter what server something is on. I want to see my library in one place - that’s kind of the idea of a Media Center; that’s what “center” implies.
Edit: Viewing on Android TV in case that bears weight.
I don’t see anywhere to change options. On the left there are options relating to “Recently added…” but how can I peruse my complete movie collection without the need to switch folders?
I found “All Movies” or “By Folder” which only applies that folder. If I select “By Folder” it shows me the folders inside of that particular movie folder.
Okay, perhaps a poor choice of words on my part. I have 2 movie folders in my single library. I want to select “Movies” and see all of my movies, not just some of them.
Just in case anybody is confused; comparing PLEX to say Windows Media Center or Kodi, I can select “Movies” and see a single list of all of my movies that happen to reside in multiple locations. Can PLEX do that?
On the home screen of the android TV app at the top is the row of “Libraries” not “folders”. If you open the Library the you select “all movies” to see all movies in a list
If you want multiple folders from multiple locations on your computer to be in the one library. you add the multiple folders to the library on your server
Thank you, Sir!! That last picture was the piece that I was missing. The “Shuffle” feature is something I will use but could not understand the merits when my movies were in separate folders. Again, I thank you!
