I was also having the problem of audio settings dropping (Plex HTPC audio settings reset every update - #46 by alphafoxtrot). Several users and I eventually figured out that it was tied to graphics driver updates. This was supposedly fixed in v1.41.0 (Plex HTPC for Mac, Windows, and Linux - #44 by Moussa). If your setup still has audio settings reset, it’s something @Moussa might want to know about.
