Currently OpenPHT allows forcing the display to the content frame rate which smoothes the video substantially especially with 24p and 23p content. The current AppleTV, for example, displays everything at 60p which creates a judder for non-60p content. Also, the ability to bitstream (DTS-MA, etc) is available on OpenPHT but not available in Plex.
I’d like these primarily in the iOS app which may not be capable of doing this until the AppleTV 5. I don’t think the web-app is capable of doing this. Maybe the native Win10 app? I’m not sure. The blacks don’t seem as dark in that app.
Use Plex Media Player then. It supports changing refresh rate and bitstreaming.
The iOS app will probably never gain this ability, since the display refresh rate of iPhones and iPads cannot be changed.
The web app cannot do this. It runs in a web browser and is restricted by the abilitites of the browser.

Which refresh do I select that is most similar to Adjust Display Refresh Rate

I don’t understand.
What do you want to select?
Which app are you referring to now?
With OpenPHT there is Adjust Display Refresh Rate I’m curious what PMP video setting is most similar to that: Audio, Display (resample audio), Display (duplicate and drop audio)? Also, what Hardware encoding should I use? Enabled or Enabled (Copy Playback)?

The analog setting in PMP is titled
Settings - Video - ‘Allow Display Mode Switching’
Also, what Hardware encoding should I use? Enabled or Enabled (Copy Playback)?
Use the settings which do work best for your particular combination of hardware.
i.e. simply try them out. start with the defaults which are usually safe for most users.
Settings - Audio - Device Type = ‘HDMI’
is necessary for bitstreaming
Once you have that, tick below the checkboxes of the sound formats which your AVR or TV can “eat” per bitstreaming

sounds good. I have a GTX 970 and intel 6700K. My guess is copy-playback because it’ll save the buffer in the GPU.
